Founded in a Dublin kitchen in 2019, Handcraft & Co was born from a simple belief: that the people who make things with their hands deserve a stage — and that the people who buy things deserve to know exactly where they came from.
Every product on our platform is created by an independent maker. We pay fair prices and take no shortcuts — so artisans can focus on what they do best.
From natural dyes to recycled packaging, our makers commit to ethically sourced materials and responsible production that treads lightly on the earth.
Handmade means made to last. We stand behind every product with a quality guarantee — if it isn't right, we'll make it right, no questions asked.
From a kitchen table to a thriving community of over 2,400 customers and 180+ artisans.
Siobhán and Declan, two old friends with a shared love of craft, hand-stitched the first Handcraft & Co order on a rainy November evening. The idea was small — the ambition was not.
Word spread through markets, studios, and maker communities across Ireland. By spring 2021 we had welcomed our 100th artisan onto the platform, spanning knitwear, ceramics, candles and leatherwork.
After two years of working with our logistics partners and investing in verified offsets, Handcraft & Co became Ireland's first handmade marketplace to achieve fully carbon-neutral delivery.
Today our community spans 34 countries. Every single order connects a real person to a real maker — and that connection is what gets us out of bed every morning.
A small, passionate team dedicated to craft, community, and getting your parcel to the door on time.
Co-founder & Creative Director
A former textile designer, Siobhán sets the creative vision for everything from product curation to brand identity. She personally reviews every new artisan application.
Co-founder & Operations
Declan ensures that the backend of Handcraft & Co runs as beautifully as the front. Logistics, partnerships, and maker relations are his domain.
Lead Artisan, Knitwear
Elena's hand-knitted pieces are among our bestsellers. She also mentors new knitwear makers joining the platform, sharing technique and trade secrets freely.
Head of Sustainability
Marcus joined in 2022 to lead our carbon-neutral shipping project and hasn't stopped since. He audits every material in our supply chain for environmental impact.
Four principles that guide every decision we make, every product we list, every artisan we welcome.
Every item is crafted by hand, by a real person, with care. No factory lines, no mass production — ever.
We choose materials, partners, and practices that protect the planet for the next generation of makers.
Our artisans set their own prices and keep the majority of every sale — because fair pay is non-negotiable.
We are a community before we are a marketplace — connecting makers, buyers, and craft lovers worldwide.
